In October, the government rejected calls to extend a voucher scheme for children to receive free school meals over the half-term and winter holidays.
Redbridge Council have stepped in and decided to ensure no child in Redbridge goes hungry.
Since then we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of local residents and businesses in Redbridge who have asked us how they can contribute to ensuring that food poverty does not affect children in Redbridge over the Christmas holidays.
