Introduction

You can use this form to request that lane rental charges are waived, reduced or exempted under the London Borough Lane Rental Scheme Operational Guidance. (Opens in new tab).

Before you start, make sure you have:

• the permit reference, if you have one
• details of the works
• a traffic management plan
• any supporting evidence, like schedules or details if there are multiple phases
• plan of the asset to be replaced (where the works involve the replacement of an existing asset)

• Traffic Management (TM) plan
• TM plan schedule if there are multiple phases (durations of each individual TM plan)
• Dimensions (existing and proposed) are required on drawings in relation to no net loss requests
• If there are phases, a description of what is being requested will be required for each
• If the works involve the replacement of an existing asset, provide a plan of the existing asset and the proposed replacement asset

Guidance on what to include in your supporting statement

If the works are the replacement of an existing asset

• Previous 5-year history of repairs on asset being replaced including permit references, if on public highway and duration of repair works in calendar days
• Duration of asset replacement in calendar days
• If/when will replaced asset be decommissioned
• Lifespan of new asset

If the works are the placing of an entirely new asset

• Provide details of what purpose asset serves
• Lifespan of new asset
